I Finally Got To Dress Up For Christmas!

Recommended Posts

My husband's work has had a Christmas party every year for the last 10 years or so, and I have always been jealous of the wives who could wear the pretty holiday clothes. I'd put on the best thing I had and hide in the corner, not willing to spend the money on something that I knew wouldn't live up to the other outfits. But this year I had the time of my life shopping with my friends and picking out THE DRESS! I'm not at goal yet, but just being able to dress with confidence was amazing! post-174702-0-66189600-1386596089_thumb.jpg post-174702-0-59115600-1386596103_thumb.jpg

Thank you! I forgot my stats: I started at 285 and I'm down to 195. Have gone from a size 24 to a solid 16. Able to wear some 14's.

Congratulations. You look sooooo pretty! I'm down from a 20-22 into a 16 now. I wonder if I look as good as you?

I started at 238 and I'm down to 208. (I'm on the bike at the Y right now, and I haven't weighed since Wednesday, so I might be less...)

Sounds like it's time for you to take some pictures too! Although I hate having my picture taken, I've been taking one every two months and it actually helps to see the progress.

I know what you mean about hiding at parties. I would find a seat and not move all night until time to leave. Hopefully drawing as little attention as possible. Yesterday was at a party and I actually got up and danced!

Good for you! It's so nice to participate in life instead of just watching others have fun.

You look great! While I was never able to hide at my work Christmas parties and was expected to mingle, I can totally relate to the stress of "why bother?" And wishing I could wear beautiful party dresses instead of wearing whatever covered up my rolls of fat the best. I too am not at goal, but am enjoying the journey.

Ain't life grand?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
