You still have a lot of swelling give yourself time that it slow right now just concentrate on fluids, healing and a little movement. Can you get liquid down slowly?

agree with poster (still swollen on inside aka hence the fullness feeling)

drinking too fast or too much can make you feel this way also........if overly concerned, call your doctor.

Hi there, congratulations on being on the other side! You are very newly banded and may still be shrugging off the anesthesia, etc. Are you on pain killers? You may want to talk with the doctors' office about any side effects you may be experiencing (nausea?). It seems universal that walking is the single most helpful thing after banding. Even just a little then a little more every time you get up. And maybe there is a kind of Popsicle you would find soothing -- whatever your post-op protocol allows. I was not hungry (fullness) for days following the surgery and then a few weeks of no real appetite. I used Tylenol and Ibuprofen liquid and both made me feel nauseous. Something like that could be going on. Hope you feel better today and that you have a nice quiet weekend with all the movies you want to watch, sips of liquid and lots of walking, walking, walking. Best wishes -- keep us posted!

That is pretty normal. If you are not walking or taking anything for gas do both! Gas-x is good and walking is better! Best wishes!

if it is severe there is anti-nausea medication you can take. you need to let your doctor know that you are nauseated. but it sounds like you are experiencing what all post band ppl face. and like bandista, walking was my biggest help and still is when i do something stupid and get stuck. lol good luck.

Feeling much better today. Still a little nausea but I'm walking through it. Took a shower and felt even better. Now I am just trying to get fluids in. I thought I had everything I needed but I don't. Did I also mention that I am from the Dallas Fort Worth area and everyone is stuck inside because of the snow and ice.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
