I'm so excited! I'm getting sleeved January 20 by Dr. Alejandro Lopez in Tijuana, Mexico! He operates out of Hospital MI Doctor if anyone else is going to be there! Let's meet up!

Hello, I get sleeved by him on the 21st of Jan. So, we can certainly meet up. I live in Cinti but will fly to San Diego on the 20th

That sounds great! I am flying from Seattle to San Diego on Sunday the 19th. Cathy said that I am the first surgery for the morning of the 20th, and my mom is right after me. We are so excited to start our "new" life!

So time is flying by, and before I know it Friday morning will be here. I am first thing in the morning have to be there at 5:30 am. I have been cleaning my kitchen all day rearranging everything cleaning out the cabniets and even the fridge, I know my husband and daughter think I'm going crazy my OCD is definitely in full force today just want everything in irder before Friday not trying to come home to a disaster. Bad enough I am gonna gave to depend on a 13 year old to cook and clean since my husband burns Water they'd probably starve uf it was up to him. LOL.

I'm scheduled for the 7th of Jan.... my doc has advised me 1pc of either chicken or fish a day with Soups, green vegetables & skimmed milk/yoghurt. I did hear him say 'no' to natural sugars from fruits but not so sure! Could someone pls advice if natural fruits/juices are allowed on the pre-op diet. lunch, dinner isn't so much of a problem as Breakfast is! Any ideas on how to cope in the mornings? I don't get shakes, powders, etc where I live! Thx in advance

You should probably give your doctors office a call. I have noticed all doctors are so different with the pre op diet. I can have 100% fruit juices but no fruit.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
