Is is just me, or does this title fit a good portion of the people that post in the Rant & Raves? Personally, I am a Heterosexual Conservative, God-fearing Christian, but to each their own. Before you get all froggy & jump, I have many friends from all walks of life & that includes homosexual liberal.....well, I don't know any atheists.

Oh Carlene, I beg to differ...no, not all, but most of you ARE beautiful in mind and body. We do hope you are willing, of course, but sex isn't everything. It may be near the top but the list is long.

Don't do that stuff on the rug, stick to the percale sheets, much easier on the knees.

Personally, I am a fan of pure white pure cotton high thread-count sheets; nothing in my house is less than 400. You can get 'em for a reasonable price if you shop smart.

Green: not to one up you or anything, but my current best new set is made with 600 thread count Egyptian cotton and has a satin finish. Very luxurious. They must be washed in cold Water with a delicate detergent though. Very easy on the knees. I'll never go back to those stiff ones that leave marks on you after a night of super-hydration.

I Loooooove my 400 ct sheets, but I can't stand anything higher. Too stiff for me. (did I really just say that???) I like my sheets to feel like "clouds", and I just don't get that feeling from anything sateen or above 400. I probably prefer Pima, but Egyptian will do in a pinch.

The sheets have to be nice and chilly, though. There isn't much I hate more than a warm bed, because it just gets warmer. I love having a cool bed.

Wheet: not to debate the merits of sheets, but I used to think that anything above 400 was just silly and I had learned that some of the higher thread counts weren't exactly just that, but only a different way of calculating the threads so they could charge more for them. And I always chose the softer 400 count ones. Except recently I came across some at Yves Delorme that will melt your Cookies. They're the nicest I've ever found - they don't actually say that they have a satin finish, but that's what it feels like to me. I've always thought Egyptian cotton were deemed to be the best. What's the benefit of Pima over Egyptian? Inquiring minds need to know. Remember, over 1/3 of your life is spent in bed.
