All You Experts: How Long Before That Nasty Main Stitch Releases?

Recommended Posts

One week out today and my only complaint is I can't get up from a deep seat by myself without that main incision yelling at me. And thrush... That doesn't hurt but looks gnarly and feels like a cotton blanket on my tongue...

All you experts, how long before that thing gives up and releases?

It took about 2 weeks before that main incision stopped hurting for me every time I moved! At 3 weeks it was just a bit tender. Hang in there it won't be like this forever!

I haven't been sleeved yet but I have had 2 c-sections and my lower abdomen near the incision was numb for a while. In fact, it was still numb from my first kid when I had the second one two years later. My youngest is now 3 1/2 and I finally have all of my feeling back.

I am 8 days post op today, and I have that main-incision "stitch" too. The discomfort in mine seems to come and go without rhyme or reason, though. I'm glad to hear it will go away.

I'm happy to report that mine still hurts but is much more tolerable. I can get up and down with ease now.

I am healing well but not losing any weight. How can that be possible?! I'm still on liquids and have added cream o' Soup and a tiny bit of cream of wheat. Crazy...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
