All You Experts: How Long Before That Nasty Main Stitch Releases?

One week out today and my only complaint is I can't get up from a deep seat by myself without that main incision yelling at me. And thrush... That doesn't hurt but looks gnarly and feels like a cotton blanket on my tongue...

All you experts, how long before that thing gives up and releases?

It took about 2 weeks before that main incision stopped hurting for me every time I moved! At 3 weeks it was just a bit tender. Hang in there it won't be like this forever!

Thanks Catherine! I appreciate your response.

I'm almost four months and where I had my main incision it is numb I can't feel any thing on my left side by my belly button. Has this happened to anyone?

I haven't been sleeved yet but I have had 2 c-sections and my lower abdomen near the incision was numb for a while. In fact, it was still numb from my first kid when I had the second one two years later. My youngest is now 3 1/2 and I finally have all of my feeling back.

I am 8 days post op today, and I have that main-incision "stitch" too. The discomfort in mine seems to come and go without rhyme or reason, though. I'm glad to hear it will go away.

I'm happy to report that mine still hurts but is much more tolerable. I can get up and down with ease now.

I am healing well but not losing any weight. How can that be possible?! I'm still on liquids and have added cream o' soup and a tiny bit of cream of wheat. Crazy...
