Got A Little Cocky With My Sleeve Today

Recommended Posts

hehehe, just sayin' Try to stick with "slow and steady progress" and do not rush. That said most experiment (once). I did. BOY was that no fun!

When your sleeve says 'no', there will be slimies, and discomfort for a couple hours and nausea and vomiting. SOME FUN!!

Mouse, I have the same experience, especially with scrambled eggs. I don't know why. Keep it to one or two eggs and just stop. You might feel full eventually. (I'm four weeks out.)

Also, your nerve endings are probably still healing so you may not have that full feeling yet.

Woo happy it's not just me. I'm only eating one egg a day.

One's not quite enough. Two is pretty much too much, or close. I'm still experimenting. I mean for a while there I completely forgot that I could have one egg, and something else.

Oooh! Oooh! Also, with eggs I can't stand them cold. So I know I'm eating them too quickly. I mean, I'm not chugging them or anything, but I'm definitely not taking longer than 5-10 minutes. More to work on.

Mouse I was exactly like you I felt there was very little restriction. However I am now 3 months out and my restriction seems to be working full force now. It seems as as time goes on I get more restriction. I have a hard time with 4 ounces of soft fish now, where as before no problem. I hope yours works like mine. I am down 51 pounds in 3 months and my Dr says I am above the curve in loss. Yay.

You live and learn! I think it is all part of the process. I do eat slower now and smaller bites. But I too had to learn the hard way as most of us do. Why........Because eating fast and larger bites seems to be a common problem we all have had pre op and need to learn the new way by what else........Trial and error. Best of luck to you!! :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
