Wearing a belt - another first!

Recommended Posts

It's freezing in Scotland so I bought a new coat. It was quilted - something I would never have bought before as I would have looked like the Michelin tyre man - and it has a BELT!

I wore it for the first time today not intending to use the belt - no idea when I last wore one and thought I would look like a sack of tatties. But before I left, I buckled the belt to give my mind a treat and was shocked to see I looked ok! No lumps, bumps, I almost cried. My dietician said to me a couple of weeks ago that to others, I look normal sized but I am struggling to see it. But I saw it today. Woo hoooooo!

Pictures please! I haven't worn a belt in a while either. I dream of being able to tuck my shirt into my pants and wear a belt one day soon.

Good for you :)

I remember wearing a belt when I was a size 6 30 years ago.

Congrats on wearing the quilted coat and belt, I too have avoided them and also that whole being able to tuck my shirt in and not have it look like I have a bum in the front is something that I'm looking forward to.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
