Went through halloween with not 1 piece of candy! First EVER!

Recommended Posts

I cant beleive it... I did not pop 1 piece of halloween candy in my mouth this whole season. Im sorta afraid to because right now, I cant remember how good it tasted and I dont want to remind myself. It paid off - 33 lbs down today and Im actually wearing skinny jeans tucked into boots!! And I got a compliment from the very 1st person I saw today: She said I looked great in this outfit. Small victories/feeling happy! :):D:):D

That is a great achievement - congratulations! It's kind of scary to think of going back to eating "normal" food... I kind of don't ever want to because I don't want to end up where I was before!

I get to join the didn't eat any club too! First time ever!

Thought about it but it just didn't seem that important.

Me neither, I'm trying to stay true to this liquid diet. My daughter baked Cookies yesterday to bring to her brother at college and left one on the cooling rack. It's still there, I think she was testing me.lol

Same here! I resisted but wasn't even really tempted that much. I'll be glad when it's all gone (this weekend it's going in the trash) so I don't have to even think about it. Before I would had hidden pieces all over the house for "later." Victory!!!!!

Lol my kids used to hide their candy from me!

I'd go in their rooms and hunt it down when they went to school.

Even for those of us that were a little weak and had something naughty, just think of what damage we would do prior to surgery. We would buy our candy and then have to buy more for the trick or treaters because we had eaten it all. I would have candy wrappers stashed in my purse and would hide the evidence under the garbage so I wasnt found out. Those days are over.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
