Had mine removed about 20 years ago after a 70 lb weight loss...which I regained + more.

I had my gall bladder out at the same time as my sleeve.

How long was recovery when you had it out at 6 weeks

I took two weeks off work (again) and then it was four weeks until I could do any exercise other than walking. The recovery was easier for the GB then it was for the sleeve, probably because of being able to eat, but I had five incisions, so now a total of eight incision scars on my abdomen which is not cool. If you are having GB issues, I would definitely ask them to take out your GB at your sleeve surgery. I had no issues or stones before surgery, everything developed after surgery which was rough to have to go under anesthesia again and take more time off work. The first time I had vacation and sick time saved up. The second time I had to take time off without pay which wasn't so cool.

I had to have mine out 4 months post, but I had gallstones for 3 months before they found them (thank you army docs) so 1 month post op is when the complications happened

But I was only out of work 2 days. My surgeon did a great job working around the scar tissue and I healed within a week. But if you have the option to take it out during ur sleeve, I say do it lol saves a lot of hassle later

My surgeon prescribed me Ursodiol which is to prevent gall bladder issues. So far I haven't had a noticable problem.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
