Sneezing

Recommended Posts

Why is it every time I go to eat or drink something it makes me sneeze? I feel like I'm going to get sick but every time it's only a sneeze.

I would get hiccups when I was full. Now I get hiccups and a runny nose. Those are my signals to stop eating.

I get a runny nose when I'm full, but I've noticed I've been sneezing a lot more.

I sneeze and have a runny nose when I am to stop eating....Even when we were fluffier, our bodies gave us signals to stop eating, that we were full. Sighing during a meal is a tell tale sign you are full...Watch the people around you and when they sigh or take a small breather before they reach for the second helping you know they are stretching their stomachs...

Interesting how so many of us have the same tell tale signs or warnings that we have had enough to eat...Listen to that and stop eating when you sneeze...I do....I appreciate recognizing it as just that!

Nope...that is not it..Like I said it is a signal that you are full and should stop eating at that point...If you think you have not eaten enough Protein...Have a small a snack later on..

It is recommended that we eat up to 6 small meals a day...I eat 3 and one snack at night....Seems to work for me...

Don't forget we have head hunger to deal with....We work on our heads while we are following the program and using the sleeve as a tool to help us.....Hope this helps kid!

No it's my first bite of anything or when I take a drink.

I started out that way too.. I told someone on here that I sneezed when I ate a bite..That was true..Now it is when I have had enough....I think the body is telling us to be careful....

Try when you sneeze to stop eating and really take the time to feel your sleeve...Let the sneeze pass and take another bite...See how you react...Eventually your body will respond at the right time......

No it's my first bite of anything or when I take a drink.

I sneeze a lot now. However, it's not when I'm eating. I agree with RJ...we need to listen to our bodies. I'm very respectful of my new tummy. I also know the amount that will fit in it, so I never serve myself more than that. Possibly you could now be allergic to what your eating or your body no linger wants that type of food. It's definitely an adventure!

A full stomach stimulates the vagus nerve which can cause sneezing. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
