At my last dr. Appointment before the big day

Recommended Posts

I am at my lat appointment , waiting for the dr. It finally feels like its really going to happen. Twice I had people ask me why I am doing this because they think that I don't need it. It his happened today in the dr office. Really!!!! I have lost 7 lbs. since last Tuesday and surgery is Monday .

Ahhh I don't need any one questioning my decision .

Ok now I am so tempted to have 1 last slice of pizza. 1 slice not the 3 I usually eat. Hummmmm...

Don't feel bad I just went through the 1001 questions with my oldest son on yesterday as to why are you doing this all you need to do is walk. After telling him guess what I know you love me and is worried I have to do this for me. So congrats on your surgery on Monday I am right behind you I am on Wednesday :-)

Congratulations, you're almost there - how exciting. And yes, people like to voice there opinions, I even heard it from a nurse as I was getting ready to be wheeled in for surgery. The comment was (she's not a bariatric patient, she's not THAT big). My thought was why should I have to be THAT big at all, but I ignored her, she doesn't live in my skin nor does she have my medical problems and I wasn't going to get into it then. There's going to be comments that we just have to let roll off. Enjoy your journey. It's your, all yours, and you deserve it. :D

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
