Sleeved August 12 & I've just broken through my second stall. My first came when I moved from liquids to soft foods. My second came when I moved from soft foods to all foods. This latest stall lasted 3 weeks and I thought I was going to sit in the floor and cry each morning. I searched My Fitness Pal entries looking for my daily mistakes, but couldn't find a pattern. I am so thankful to be back on the losing track again. Although my doctor assured me these stalls are natural, they certainly are no fun, especially when it lasts 3 weeks! I guess the trick is just...keep following the plan.

I was sleeved August 2nd. First and second stall lasted 12 days each. At the second I lost weight for two days--and now I'm stalled again for the third Time. Sigh. What can you do, besides keep on keeping on, right?

Change up your workout routine and also take a look at what you have been eating... sometimes cutting back to no carbs for a day or two will jump start your metabolism again :-)

I had been in a stall since Halloween. I kept gaining and loosing the same 2 pounds over and over again. Finally yesterday got on the scale and lost 2.4 pounds. So happy but if I'm honest with myself since Halloween my calorie intake and the composition of my calories had changed. I am now 9 months past my surgery date and the first 7 months or so I was almost perfect with keeping my calories to around 800 per day with carbs below 60 grams. The last 2 months I had been flirting with about 1100 calories and definitely higher fat and carbs. I tried to offset this increase with exercise but obviously didn't work. I credit getting more vigilant with my eating habits and changing up exercise every few months with breaking through my "stall". So I guess my message is sometimes a stall is really attributable to getting more lax with what we are eating. I don't mean to imply this is what you are all doing, just what I was doing.

I can relate to this too. I've had two significant stalls and am into my third. I consider a week significant but maybe that's normal. I started working out more and of course, I don't lose weight when I am working out...the old adage "muscle weighs more than fat" keeps ringing in my ears. But really folks...I still can't get over 1200 calories in a day. When the stall ends, I lose like 5 pounds in a few days. Is that normal for anyone else? I am also losing a ton of hair now.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
