Good luck today to the 9th bypassers! Keep us posted! For those that have already had surgery let us know how you're doing!

I had surgery yesterday. I'm sitting in my hospital room doing ok. Just having pain under my ribs like pulled muscles. Had a few cases of the hiccups. That hurt a little. Haven't been up to walk yet but I will be soon. They brought me decaf hot tea and unsweetened iced tea and chicken broth for breakfast... Not to sure about the chicken broth just yet. Hmmmm....

I had surgery aug 5th I'm doing good still getting used to how this pouch feels its very different that's for sure. I'm still a little sore but getting around good

Yeah same here. I'm getting in and out of bed by myself now and walking around the house 2 times every couple hours. Been taking in liquids or broths every 30 minutes and such but pain still in left side by ribs still sucks. How are you doing with pain so far?

My pain is good just been taking pain pill at bed time. I been eating apple sauce and oat meal for breakfast it agreed with me.

Was your surgery laparoscopic? If so, the left side incision is the one most used by surgeons. My mom works in the OR. That site will be the sorest the longest, but it won't last more than a week or two. It all depends on how much manipulation your surgeon did.

That's nice and wow applesauce and oatmeal already? My dr said full liquids for a full week then puréed. I'd kill for some applesauce right now lol

Yes it was laparoscopic. And yeah that's what I was told, and thank god it's only a week or two lol it goes all the way around to my back around the same area.

My menu in my book they gave me has meal ideas its very helpful

That's nice! Mine just gives me a list of things I can have for the next 5 weeks and then it's normal foods after that
