I'm doing horrible on my protein. I'm getting in 30-40 grams. The powders are starting to gross me out, not sure why. I can drink about half a thing then i'm gagging and torturing myself to finish it. The smell and taste is so gross.

I'm doing horrible on protein as well. They seem to dry my mouth out.

I heard good reviews about Unjury protein shakes so I went online and ordered 3-samples. The samples were $5, but the shipping was also $5. I am terrible about buying things and never using them, so I wanted to test out these shakes before buying mass quantity. Believe it or not, but the shakes were pretty amazing. I am ordering some larger quantities tonight. I use a lactose free milk product called Mootopia from my local grocery store here called "HEB". So the Unjury protein powder is 20-G of protein and this milk-replacement is 12-G,per 8-oz. So this one shake in the am gives me 32-G.

Then I get few additional protein points from regular food and then 1-more shake for dessert, I mix the drink and leave it in the freezer for 30-minutes and then shake it again. It sorta taste like a chocolate milkshake since there are a few ice crystals in it.

Try the injury Orange flavor protein it's great

You know its so weird to hear about ppl not getting full. My doc must have really went small on me bc I literally eat like one bite and I am done. My heart goes out too those with the opposite problem but part of me wishes I could eat a tiny bit more. I am on soft foods and I am not sure how I am going to get enough protein in bc I don't know how many more protein drinks I can handle. I am tired of them so badly and it takes me forever to get it all down.

I'm one of those people that can definitely eat more than one bite. I do get full but I'm sure I can eat more than what I'm suppose to be able to. I haven't gotten sick at all, I can drink more than 64oz of water a day. I just try to measure everything so I'm not consuming too much. I'm not hungry either.

How far out are you? I hate thinking this, but I worry that my surgeon made me a large pouch and not a small pouch, but I wouldn't think he would do such a thing.

My mind is messing with me since I can eat more than I think I should be able to eat.

For example, breakfast yesterday:

1-egg scrambled with 1-slice of lunch meat ham chopped up in it and a sprinkle of fat-free cheese.

It fit into a very small bowl. Like the size bowl you would get if you ordered a side-of vegetables at a restaurant, but I read somewhere that we would only be able to eat maybe 2-teaspoons of food after surgery, and I keep remembering that I read that somewhere and it gets me wondering what is going on.

Here is a list of the ones I like. Muscle milk light, pure protein, sf carnation instant breakfast, my favorite is the Nectar brand, Nectar comes in like 9 /10 different flavors. I love the cherry. I bought sample packs of the Caribbean cooler, Vanilla bean torte and chocolate truffle. I'll let you know how I like them when I try them.

I am 2 weeks out. I guess I am where I should be but it seems like everyone is having the opposite problem so it makes me worry. I miss real eating a little but would never go back and undo the surgery as being healthy is more important than eating like a human.

In my booklet it says 2TB-1/4 cup of food at a time

I could manage 2 tbs I think.

I'm eating applesauce right now, not sure if my tummy likes it or not.

When have some of you started on your "mush foods?" You know' date=' the step after liquids?[/quote']

I'm on purée right now

My doc said two weeks after the surgery to start soft foods.
