lol least you have a PCP that will give you what you want. Errr...It's getting close to the time to change this lovely thing. My bf has to change it because it's in a place I can't see all that well. It hurts like a mother freaker when it gets changed lol. I slept soo long like 10 hours. I swear the hospital will drive you crazy!! Someone is always coming in all hours. If I was lucky to go to sleep it wasn't more than 2 hours at a time. The last day I was there I felt like such a skank because I didn't get to shower. The protein shakes they wanted me to drank, tasted and smelled like something from straight up toilet. I said there is no way. The doc already told me I didn't have to drank them. The nurse was trying to convince me I had to drink at least one of them so I could go home. I told her if she thought they were tasty then be my guest. lol

Lol. You have to be able to eat but not protein shakes. The hospital I went to had one yummy one and one yucky one. I didn't like being in the hospital bc one nurse was late at giving me pain meds and in 12 hours gave me one dose when I could of gad it three times. I kept calling and calling. Maybe this experience with your wound will help bring it home for your guy and bring you together. I am glad that you are home and posting again. We can do this!!

Yeah, he has been super helpful. I feel bad because he does work midnights and has so much to do around here, now he has to tackle changing this thing for me. He is worried because we found out I have some type of blood problem where my blood clots weird and I bleed out more than normal. I'm also anemic. So among all this I will have to see a blood specialist as to why this is happening. I think it is the fact my doctor has us stop taking vitamins two weeks before surgery and a week after surgery. A person's body can't go that long in my opinion.

Did you get a survey to do on the hospital you stayed at? Maybe you should put that on the survey about the nurse you had. How much weight are you down? I weighed this morning but I'm still pumped up with fluids from being in the hospital, I'm down 22 lbs.

I have this constant headache and this stinging/burning sensation that will sometimes be around my belly button and sometimes around my incisions. Help?

are any of them red or have drainage

So far so good! Moderate pain at suture sites' date=' bruises from heparin shots, tired as all get out...never slept longer than 2 hours in hospital. I got released today. :) yesterday got 36 oz clear fluids in. Today, oatmeal (about 3 T, with some unsweetened applesauce) hot tea.for breakfast... Pureed chix, mashed taters & molded pureed peas (did not eat those...lol/. With a lil jello in mid afternoon. Water powerade, and bariatric advantage shake for dinner....all pretty much on schedule. No nausea, i farted...peed alot. :) going to sleep.... Need at last 6.[/quote']

Sounds great! I'm jealous! No food for me until next Thursday.

Ok. So as Amanda said are your incisions showing signs of infection like a drainage, redness, heat, and swelling. Check your temp. My incisions burn from time to time and I put a ice pack on them and it goes away. Headache could have been from anesthesia but you are probably too far out so most likely you aren't drinking enough water or you are going through caffeine withdrawal.

I went and checked it all out. There was some drainage but the surgical glue was pulling at a scab. Otherwise they think the incisions look good. I'm working on water intake now. I sip

Sip sip. I also sleep sleep sleep. Haha the burning they said will Subside the more I move around so I'm going to try to walk more.

Good luck!

Good luck

So i had my surgery on Friday. I was doing fine, walked the hallways a lot, but then my happy button was taken away, and i have been drinking oz after oz of water. Uuuggggg. Been woken up by nurses one after another, so now. Im wide awake again. :(

I ate again today and still don't get any type of full sensation. I am portioning my food so that I am not over-eating. Also' date=' I drink and drink and also don't get a "full" sensation. So it sounds like you and I are in the same boat and our stats are almost exact, that is a bit crazy.[/quote']

I'm convinced the Dr screwed something up, but I know that's an illogical thought since he's been doing this for so long. I started eating more solid foods like cut up chicken with light mayo instead of pureed chicken and still not feeling full. I'm determined to get this weight off even if my tool isn't working exactly right. I've been exercising every day and following the food guidelines

HW(9/3/13)- 284, DOS(9/11/13)-270, CW-257(9/25/13), GW-155(by 9/21/14...my 26th birthday!)

Ya. I hated when they took away my happy button too. Its harder when you have to rely on the nurses for pain meds.
