  4. Oh my goodness Amanda! How scary! I'm so glad you caught it when you did. Hope you heal up quickly
  5. Good luck sashalk! Dreams how is it going?
  6. Me too! I think it's out hormones being all out of whack.
  7. Amanda, you can do this! I don't know you but from your posts you seem very strong. Our church is bringing us food and I had to watch my husband eat not only lasagna last night but also huge gooie homemade cinnamon rolls. It was really hard but I just told myself this is a choice I made so that I can really live. Hopefully your doctor will be able to get you some relief today. Keep us posted.
  8. Good luck today dreams! Let us know!

    September Post Ops

I slept in a recliner the first three nights home and in bed the last two nights. The thing that has saved me is my body pillow. Strangely enough I am most comfortable on my left side leaning against it.
  10. Good luck! I hope everything is ok.
  11. Fellow 16ther here. I'm doing really well. Went to church today and back to work tomorrow. I'm getting around 52 of protein and 65 or so ounces water. I have had to call the doctor a couple times. The first time was my first night home. I spread all my night meds out over about 45 minutes. Omg. Thought I had pulled my sutures and I was certain I was dying. Now I spread my meds out over several hours. The second and third night home I had a fever. So, I was calling him again. I'm pretty sure I am not his favorite. :-) I gained four in the hospital and I have lost that plus five more. Feel excited to start my new life!
  12. Yes stitch I agree! Food has started to look good again but I have no hunger and only drink my protein because I have to. So bizarre!
  13. Good luck giggles and congrats on beginning your journey!
  14. The actual name of the cubes is wylers chicken flavor with herbs and spices.
  15. I didn't have a drain. My doc said he only puts them in less than one percent of people. When I was on clear liquids only I bought chicken bouillon cubes with added spices and put two in about 10 oz of water and boiled. I liked that much better than broth.

Love how you put that! I also had rny on Monday. I came home on Tuesday. I've just been learning my new pouch and while I thought I was prepared for how small it would be I am shocked by how quickly I fill up. Even on water. Makes it hard to get in enough protein and liquid. I find that walking is indeed a miracle cure. Like burping a baby!
  21. Hey everyone! I'm glad to hear everyone is recovering. No bm for me yet either but pass lots of gas. I'm drinking two protein shakes a day mixed with skim milk and sipping water in between. I'm getting a total of about 46 ounces of fluid. Feel like I should be getting more. Doing lots of walking. I'm a little sore in my left stomach but not bad at all. Oh and I have a very gurgly pouch too!
  22. Should go this afternoon. Can't wait.
  23. How's everyone doing? I am doing well. Got rid of horrible catheter and have been walking. Also sipping protein shakes and water. Feel much better than I expected.
