So I went shopping today for some things I figure would be helpful after surgery. For baby spoons and baby bowls with lids. Found these cool baby food containers that are flexible plastic to go from fridge to freezer. Plus they are pink- this is very important lol.

Went to get gas ex but they didn't have the strips so I got chewables. Will these be ok right after surgery? Planning to take them to hospital in case of bad gas issues. Just wondering if anyone has used the chewables after surgery?

I used the chewables with no problems, I also found sleeping in my lazy boy helped the first few nights, couldn't lie down at all.

I used Gas X chewables right after surgery with no problems at all. I actually tried the strips and they did not work nearly as well as the chewables did. I also had to sleep in my lazy boy for about the first 2 weeks.

I still carry the chewables at 5 months. The strips don't work as well IMO. I also slept in the recliner for about two weeks with a heating pad. It was the greatest!

Pink is my signature color! :D

Thanks for all the replies.... we do have a recliner but I typically hate it since it rocks when not reclining. I have short legs (I'm all torso at 5'9) which don't reach the floor in it and the rocking makes me nervous. We'll have to see if I use it after surgery or not. I do love my heating pad, though I'll need to remember to take it home from work. I keep it in my desk since i get so cold here.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
