What ya eating tonight?

I had a small sweet potato, with a tablespoon of i cant believe its butter,

And i boiled a boneless skinless chicken breast. With salt and pepper, curry, garlic powder and some soul food seasoning. After it cooked i put a tablespoon of BBQ sauce to the side so the bites of chicken wouldnt be to dry,

All was good, filled up quick even tho i was slow eating

And that 1 fried chicken leg was 24 grams of protein and 6 grams of carbs. Thats really good. Mostly i eat rotisserie or baked so this was different

I like the Johnsonville Turkey Cheddarwursts. 10g protein each plus low fat. I eat them plain' date=' sometimes with a little mustard. No bread though!![/quote']

Sounds good. Ill add them to my shopping list for tomorrow.

Parmesan crackers and spinach dip made from Greek yogurt. Mmmmn.

Recipe for dip?

It was my first subway and my last for a good while. I do have to agree with you on the bread. Even if it was wheat bread it wasn't 100% whole wheat.

I know it's hard not to get some sort of carbs in with meals. Does anyone know how many carbs we are actually suppose to have a day like a total? They preach about protein and making sure we get no less then 60 grams a day but my Nut never said anything about carbs

U could always have them scoop the bread out so it's not as thick... If u know what I mean

Guys. Gals.

We need to remember something. Our pouch is simply one tool in our bag of tricks.

There are two other others. One is our food choices, type and quantity, and our third is exercise.

We can ruin our "tool" by putting too much in it and stretching it.

We need to commit to changing our food lifestyle permanently for long term sucess. That means strictly restrict our carbs...and yes, they taste good. But skinny tastes better.

We severely need to restrict fried foods, bread, rice, potatoes, desserts, empty carbs. You WILL lose weight regardless what you do the first 18 months afrer surgery. But if you don't create new habits now, despite the smaller stomach, your wls will fail you.

If you do fried foods. ..and even when you take off the breading...the food you consume is saturated with the grease it was cooked in. A diet rich in low fat protein and fruits and veggies will be tough to go overboard on the calories. Its not as tasty. ..but its so much healthier for you.

Bravo well said!! Thank you!!

Where are you from? There was a Brooks BBQ near where I went to college in Upstate NY

I live in new Hartford NY. Brooks travels to our local firehouse twice a year for a fundraiser. My fav chicken and coleslaw
