Just got the call from Weight Loss Center. Insurance has approved my revision from band to RNY.

Don't have a date yet. That call may come on Monday. But just knowing it is approved and it will

happen is enough for today.

I am feeling every emotion there is. Mostly good.

I am ready for this.

I have had some ups and downs since surgery but I feel like I have accomplished so much, you should be proud of yourself....we all should be

thank you everyone, sorta pinching myself today to make sure that it wasn't a dream about the call yesterday. I am pretty calm really. It's like ok, approval down, what is next, let's get this show on the road. But at least now I know the show is going on and that helps a bunch. lol

Congrats on your approval. It took me quite a while to get mine but it just came in today. I actually went thru 2 appeals and we ended up submitting a new case. I was banded in 2010 and lost probably about 35lbs from my surgery date only. I started vomiting constantly and the doctor couldn't figure would why because he said I had the perfect fill. He would take stuff out and it still happened. I finally took more and more out....not I am totally delated which of course brought the weight back fast.

I originally wanted the sleeve but now I am thinking to go to the RNY. I was told people that have the lapband which is restrictive don't lose as well with the sleeve. I was also told there is more of a chance of leaks with the sleeve in the revision because of the scar tissue and then there is the acid reflux issue.

I have a couple friends that originally had the RNY and love it. I would love to know more about how the recovery went..

I, too, originally considered the Sleeve. I have just been approved for the RNY an am looking at mid November for surgical date. Have you had your surgery yet? How are you doing?
