Happy Birthday! Pillsbury has suger free cake mixs and frosting, and brownies.

I made the brownies yesterday and I couldn't tell the difference. I had no problems eating it. I ate a small piece and it satisfied by craving for chocolate. I'm 3 months out.

I am concerned about this stuff pre surgery am I really just not able to live a normal life anymore can I don't even have just a few bites of that stuff what happens do you get sick or is it that you don't want to allow yourself those few bites because you're scared of not being able to stop... I want realistic vision of pros and cons I'm trying to decide between a sleeve or bypass and I understand sleeve is the natural way of life, but bp may help me make better choices because of the Sugar absorption issue and have a negative consequences might teach me to stay away from things... I just don't know what to do

With the bypass you will have to have sugar free or no sugar added for the rest of your life. If you eat something with high sugar content you will get whats called dumping syndrome. Vomiting, severe cramping and diarrehea. My doctor told me I shouldn't eat anything that has more than 4 grams of sugar if sugar is the third ingredient in the product.. I have stuck with that since my surgery which was 3 months ago and honestly you can't taste any difference with the sugar free. There are a few things I don't like. I don't care for instant sugar free pudding or swiss miss sugar free hot cocoa. You still have to watch the calorie count because sugar free does not mean calorie free.. With any of the procedures it is a complete life style change. But it is well worth it. I feel so much better, can do alot of things I couldn't do before. I have lost 70 lbs since my surgery. I no longer have diabetes and I should be off by blood pressure medicine soon.

Some sugar free ice creams Desserts are to sweet its better to have a little somethin your stomach will let u know if u can handle it. U can dump on somethin that has no sugar . Im almost 6 months and i luvba soft serve vanilla cone its not to sweet low calories and yet satisfy my sweet tooth..

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
