i ask the same question, even though your dr said your pouch is the size of an egg 2oz, do you all find you can eat more than that when it comes to certain foods? and i walk around with a water bottle, i am use to drinking 3 gallons a Water a day so 64 oz is killing me... the only pain i have in just muscle pain from my incisions and the fact the past 2 nights i have been so fatigued i fell going up the stairs.. so i may just start sleeping down stairs after my husbands leaves TDY. I do hope everyone is well and happy and your families are handling your recovery well and treating y'all great..

Has anyone tried a small sip after eating? I want just a small piece of ice or something but am scared to death! If we eat three meals and it takes the minimum of 30 minutes to eat and we can't eat 30 minutes before or after' date=' that's 4.5 hours a day we can't drink. I already don't get enough fluid! This isn't working!!!

Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12[/quote']

Hi Jess I told my nut I have very large tonsils and there's no way I can't sip Water due to that. She said its ok if I really need it she just doesn't want me to do it constantly reason being I'll flush all my food out of my pouch quickly and cause dumping. But a lil tiny sips shouldn't hurt ;) I do sip a lil and luckily no dumping yet ( fingers crossed)

The weight has been falling off, now it's been at 25 lbs for the past 2 days. I know I am still losing and shouldn't go by what the scale says, but ughhh!!!!!

Your doing awesome... I am scared to even go to my one month. I.e. want big numbers like 30 lBs, but I know that won't happen and it makes me so upset.

My doctor told me this would happen. It's our bodies getting used to our new ways but we will eventually start losing again.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
