Have To Crush All My Meds.

Recommended Posts

My doctor told me I have to crush all my meds before I take them. I have tried everything I can think of to put all these nasty crushed pills in to make it easy to swollow like Jello, pudding, yogurt , and a liquid Vitamin. I am having a hard time with this. Does anyone have any suggestions to make this easier. Please help.

I just tried all my crushed meds with the sugar free choc syrup. And it worked like a charm! I couldn't taste them at all. Thank you Krystacoyle.

I have to take blood pressure meds and GERD medicine but, the doctor and nurses told me I could cut them in forths to take them. I've been doing that and I've been fine.

I bet the choco Syrup works great though.

Note to Self - Buy SF chocolate syrup! I take a lot of meds and will need to do a lot of cutting and crushing. The chocolate Syrup sounds like the perfect solution to me.

My surgery is in 1 week so I am having this dilemma at the moment. My dr did tell me I would need to crush mine. I take Neurontin and the pills are on the larger side. I crushed one tonight as a prep and it was a pain to do. Bet it tastes GROSS.

So for those who used the SF choc syrup; on what day following surgery did you start? I do not want to miss ONE day of my meds. OK so I guess I will miss a day, but want to start right away.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
