Anyone having issues going to the bathroom? I'm almost 4 weeks out and have had horrible Constipation. Painful! :(. What do you take to help relieve the symptoms?

I used Walgreens generic women's laxative. It worked that night and the next morning!

I've tried Miralax, mineral oil and col aide. It's compacted and had to use a suppository. ( sorry too much info). I just don't want to go through this every week.

First are you drinking enough Water? If so try stool softeners. I didn't have a regular BMW for like two months. I'm three months post op and now it's regular. Before surgery I went at least 2-3 times a day. After surgery I didnt go for days at a time. Now I'm like once a day.

I'm getting about 50 oz of Water sometimes more per day. This is my 2nd chance, had a revision. First time I didn't have issues like this. I'm taking a stool softener every night..... Doesn't seem to help much.

Maybe you need a laxative to get you started. I know it's so uncomfortable. Sometimes if I'm feeling irregular I will take one ducolax.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
