Is it normal to be nervous and emotional about everything? Or am I worrying for nothing?

I feel like a ball of emotions! My surg is July 11 and I am excited and emotional. This liver shrink diet has me totally crazy. It's not that hard but influences(coworkers) saying hey let's get burgers for lunch, doesn't help. I've been strong but it is still tough. Hubby had his surg tues and it went great smooth sailing. He said his most pain was the first night. But he has been doing great! No pain, eating puréed, drinking, everything! I'm so proud of him and watching him has me more calm about my surg. Ladies we r gonna do great just don't let the emotions get the best of us!

This preop diet is nuts for me too! 4 shakes a day and sugar free Clear liquids for 10 days. My kids had a pizza party last night an tomorrow is my daughters birthday party. Glad your husband is doing well!

Yes this 10 day shakes diet is the hardest thing I've ever done! I would rather have another kid....it would be so much easier and I had two bad ones!!! I'm 6days in...... I think they started me too early by 2 days lol. Oh my hubs made cheese toast this morning and I had to go outside in the heat it smelled so good. That is when I realized above all else bread is my absolute weakness.

I know exactly how you are feeling. We were on vacation the second week of my liver shrinking diet. It was so hard watching my daughters eat pizza and fried seafood. It was all worth it. I lost 20 lbs on the diet for a total of 53 leading up to surgery, and my surgery was on the 19th and it is going great. Stay strong and it will all be worth it.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
