  2. I too heard nothing but horror stories and negativity as I prepared for surgery. People also told me I was choosing the lazy way out. If I would just buckle down I would be normal. Well, today I tell those same people to kiss my ass when thy tell me how amazing I look and how shocking my results are. I have lost 185 pounds in the last year and I now expect I will see my daughters marry and have children. Nothing better than that.

  5. I truly follow my diet plan to a t and try to work out 4 times a week or 30 minutes. If I am not up posed to eat it I don't, and I am very careful to take all of my Vitamins.

  8. I had my surgery June 19, 2012. I am completely amazed at the results. I could not be happier. This has been a miracle. I am down 176 pounds with 13 more to lose.
  9. Any one out there have to travel after having surgery? I will be six weeks out Tuesday, and will start traveling again Monday. I am interested in some eating out ideas that you have been successful with?
  10. Can you email it to me also? Wittnerleon@aol.com

  13. It seems that I am the exception but I had no problems at all. I was off of work for one week, and just hit four weeks. I focused very hard on preparing for surgery, and I lost 53 lbs in the two months prior to the surgery. I also worked out as much as I could leading up to surgery to be in the best shape I could. I am amazed at how good I feel. I started at 389, weighed 336 the day, and weigh 306 now.

  15. My one out there following the Denver Kaiser diet restrictions? I am 3 1/2 weeks out and I am going crazy being bored with my limited choices for food. Who has branched out beyond that?

  17. I had Dilaudid for pain and didn't need it much at home. I went back to work after a week. Only issue I had was getting tired easy bit was just working on a computer for the first week back. Second week back I had no issues working.
  18. The Isopure was described by a friend as liquid feathers because it sticks in your throat like you are drinking feathers. It is terrible.

  20. I have lost 66 and haven't really felt any difference in my bad knee. My Doctor told me once the bone is damaged nothing brings it back, but the pressure relief will help some. I am still getting used to not taking Advil as that made a huge difference when I could.
  21. Congrats. Things will go well.
  22. I know exactly how you are feeling. We were on vacation the second week of my liver shrinking diet. It was so hard watching my daughters eat pizza and fried seafood. It was all worth it. I lost 20 lbs on the diet for a total of 53 leading up to surgery, and my surgery was on the 19th and it is going great. Stay strong and it will all be worth it.
  23. I have the same problem that started the day after surgery in the hospital. Every dice I can't sit for long without getting up and walking cause it hurts too bad.
  24. I think I would have liked to have taken the test as I have no idea about all those things.
  25. I did not have to do a swallow test. In Tuesday am, out Thursday am.
