Secret Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

I have told my hubby, parents and will tell my son as the time gets closer.

At this time, I don't plan on telling anyone else. I'm a very private person and just think it's better that way for my situation. I live in a small town where everyone knows your business.

Do what's right for you - follow your gut feeling.

My support group called me the "secret keeper" My own mother didn't know for months (she lives less than a mile away from me), my dad for almost 2 years and some family still doesn't know at three years out. NO one knew about my surgery minus my significant other and two trusted dear friends. Obvisouly by my no picture icon, I am still private except on this site minus my local support group which I still attend.

VSG surgery decision was deeply personal, this was my battle to save me from me. Already knowing what others would say like "you aren't fat" was not what I needed to hear. My resolve was firm. I had seen a private physcologist and knew what what require beyond the physical change ahead. Didn't need other input nor did I want it. My surgeon was supurb, my metomorphisis ahead was in my control.

In conclusion - we all travel this journey differently. Some view this is a private battle, like I did. Others want troops surrounding them. Both view are right. Don't be ashamed of which way you fight the battle of the bulge.

Hugs - I love my sleeve and have no regrets.

As long as I can manage it - only my man knows. I don't want anyone up in my business and to be honest, people just can't help commenting on things and their delivery often leaves a lot to be desired. My excuse to people who don't know my history? 'I had my gallbladder out'. If it's noticeable in the future in social situations? 'I have a wheat and gluten allergy, so I have to be really picky with what I eat now'. I'm hoping that will suffice.... Time will tell! Good luck to everyone x

Only my immediate family knew and that is still the case after 7 months and a 95lb weight loss.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
