[*]Avoiding Water parks with my daughter because I'm too fat

[*]Not doing outdoorsy things because I need to stay "covered up"

[*]Being offered unsolicited advice about how to lose weight

[*]Being the "fat sister"

[*]Feeling self conscious when I speak in front of groups because of my weight

[*]Avoiding events because I can't find anything to wear that will diminish my weight

Such truths !! Like it was written about me!

This post is so damn sad. :( But soooo true. My knees have been killing me more than ever. I even feel pain when I'm asleep.

I won't miss My faulty internal thermostat that had me waking up in a sweat nightly and keeping the house temp low enough to freeze everyone else! Or my back spasms from carrying so much of me! Or the rubber band I used to use to "help" button my pants before finally giving in to the inevitable larger size! Or my CPAP machine!

I won't miss the embarrassing airplane rides. I finally won't have to get the flight attendant to secretly slip me a seatbelt extender anymore and I won't have to see that pity look on her face. I also will not miss people assuming that all I want to do when we hang out is eat. I won't miss that feeling of shame when I'm in public. I won't miss anything. I'm so ready for this.

Love this post!!

I agree with what everyone else said, plus

-not getting the respect I deserve

-the lack of confidence in everything I do and constantly feeling like an insecure little girl

-not wanting to have sex with my husband because I don't feel sexy or comfortable, even though he loves me.

-not wanting to go back to my hometown because I don't want ppl to see me

- being the fat or ugly friend

-not being able to stand up for myself when I am treated like **** by friends and family.

Oh god I could go on for ever! But the one thing I am looking forward to... Getting my LIFE back!! And clothes shopping ;)

All of these are wonderful: they all apply to me and also I want to add have people look at me in disgust, or at least it feels that way sometimes. I want to be normal size.

I am writing these things down' date=' because I am sure there will be times early post op when I wonder "why did I do this?"

This is why:

1. Having to shop from a limited clothing selection. Eff you , size 20, you suck.

2. The feeling of my fat middle squooshing out when I sit down.

3. swolly feet

4. Feeling like the fattest person in the room

5. Being the fattest person in the room

6. Feeling invisible

7. Feeling self conscious and size conscious

8. My stomach touching the table in a restaurant booth

9. Not fitting comfortably in a movie theatre seat

10. Looking at myself in pictures

11. Feeling ugly

12. Body aches, knee aches, hip aches

13. shoes that used to fit, and now are too tight

14. Low energy

15. Not turning heads

16. Looking in the mirror naked

17. clothes that no longer fit.

18. Not being able to wear my rings

19. Being afraid to run into people I haven't seen in a while

20. Not feeling pretty

Ok, I only wrote 20. I'm sure there are more. Help me out. Why do you never want to go back?[/quote']

Lol this is all so TRUE!! I CONCUR!!! I'd like to add the following...

This is Why...

1.Being uncomfortable as I struggle to paint my toenails

2.Being out of Breath while trying to paint my toenails

3.Sweating for NO damn reason other than the obvious

4.Being the Fattest in the Picture

5.Loving the Boots but CAN NOT fit over my calves

6.Sick of lying to myself with this statement.."This is my last one;time, I'll go on a diet Monday

7.Not being able to wear heels anymore for long periods

8.Bending down and Out of breath trying to fasten strap on shoes/heels

9.Receiving an invite then Calculating how much weight I could lose before the event occurs

10.Feeling uncomfortable around friends and family

So many:

1. Adding up the weight of everyone in the elevator to make sure I don't push its capacity above limit;

2. Pretending I want to stand up because I can't possibly fit in your plastic lawn chair;

3. Not eating at a function because my dress won't fit post meal;

4. Feeling the fold above my elbow hit the back of my forearm;

5. Underwear rolling down below my belly;

6. Apologizeing for my very existence at the grocery store;

7. Not being sure I am "clean" everywhere;

8. Being the person that by my presence gives everyone else permission to order dessert;

9. Being a non-threat to insecure women!

LOL SO FUNNY BUT SOOO TRUE!! Thank you fit the Reality check ????

I think my number 1 is : Being the fattest person in the room. It is so wonderful not to be the fattest! Kind of sounds awful but I feel so much better that there are fatter people than me out there!!

This is mine here!!

Also not being the fat girl at work anymore!

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
