Reno or N. Nevada Bandsters out there???

Recommended Posts

Oh no that would be very disappointing! What did they say they could do about it? Who did it for you? I have had three fills now the first one was a little uncomfortable, the second was very uncomfortable and they said mine was tilted but they were able to get a fill in. This time the third different person did my fill and it was a piece of cake. Just a little sting. She didn't have any problems at all. Please let me know what happens to you now? Gail

I meet with my doctor on 8/2 to see if he can do a fill and if not we will discuss other options. I can try to have fills un floro or have a revision to reposition the port. I think the nurses name that tried my fill was Lori. She was very nice but had a difficult time.

I would go to the home page, scroll down until you find the thread on Fills and read the posts there. You could probably ask a question there. Just don't wait too long to get some answers, see a doctor if you are having problems. Good Luck!

I was banded this morning at 7;30AM. I can't not believe how good I feel. I was released at noon, and I had a hianal hernia repair too. I am hardly having the shoulder pain any longer. (it is about 12 1/2 hours post op) My throat still is sore.

I know tomorrow can be a different story, but I am so happy right now that this hasn't had first day issues. That was my concern the first day....

DH and I went into contract to purchase a new home. I joked around about how over the next few months, I will be taking pics of me and my body changes and the house as it goes through it's building changes.

I will post more as my life keeps changing. __________________

Robin, Congrats on your banding. I wish you the most! Hope you still feel good tomorrow. I had a hiatal hernia done at the same time too. My doc said it was going to be uncomfortable for a week or so. He was right as far as my case was concerned. Anyway I am all better now and have mended well. Losing a little slower than I would like but at least I am losing.

Hi rwel4! Good luck to you! The liquid diet is a bummer but I was determined to do it and I got through it. Before you know it, it's over. I still don't mind the liquid Protein Shakes. I bought a Magic Bullet blender and the Walmart vanilla whey Protein. I also used the stuff that I got through Western Bariatric. I bought different kinds of fresh fruit (frozen also), added some ice and a little fat free milk, the protein and blended it up good, it tastes great! I also used some of the Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup in them once in a while. Anyway, welcome to you and best wishes.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
