I've been lurking around this forum since February 2013, when I started my six month prerequisites for insurance. I've read the good, bad and ugly, seen the before and after pics, read some great advice, encouragement and tips. Today, I met with my surgeon, Dr. Jeffrey Hannon at Mobile Infirmary and set a date of October 7, 2013 for VSG. I am so excited and nervous. I hate that I have to wait that long, but I have other obligations that I need to get out of the way first so I can focus on my surgery and recovery. Just wanted to say hi and thanks to all the members here as they have relieved me of a lot of my fears.

Thanks, guys. I'm here at the hospital having some pre-op tests. They said my gall bladder is good. Now it's time for my upper GI tests. Never had one of these before.

M2G, October is a good month. On the 19th, I will have been married 22 years to my high school sweetheart. Going to be a busy month. I noticed you are from the Denver area, I hope you haven't been affected by the floods.

Thank you! We had some basement flooding (from a window well) but our basement is unfinished and we were able to move everything before it was water-damaged. It WAS a long weekend though keeping on top of all the Water that kept rushing in. Really nothing compared to those who have lost everything.

Thanks for asking!

I know, it is coming up quick. I had my last test yesterday and got final clearance this morning. I hope you are doing well. I read that you were coughing and are very sore; hopefully that has about passed.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
