Today I stepped on the scale and it read 285.8. Never again will it be that high. Today I start my pre preop diet. 40-45 grams of carbs. No refined sugars, no pop. Then in a few weeks I will begin the liquid diet for 2 weeks before surgery. I'm really hoping that I can go into surgery weighing 265 or less. Regardless of the number, today is the day I begin to take charge. From now on my pants will never be tighter than the last time I put them on. Today I begin winning the battle! Who's with me?

Keep it up as you detox... the first few days are the hardest. Have a plan, stick with the plan, record all food and liquid, and drink Water.

It will get better...

Wonderful! I plan on going to Mexico this year, or beginning of next. Have to renew my passport. I love all the positivity (is that a word) on this board!

Perfect mindset going into your pre-op. I was where you are a little over a year ago. Best decision I ever made for myself.

Best of luck!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
