Frightening News from France

Once again, the real news in France is conveniently

not being reported as it should. To give you an idea

of what's going on in France where there are now

between 5 and 6 million Muslims and about 600,000 Jews,

here is an email that came from a Jew living in

France. Please read! Will the world say nothing - again - as it did in Hitler's time?

"I AM A JEW -- therefore I am forwarding this to

everyone on all my e-mail lists. I will not sit back

and do nothing." Nowhere have the flames of

anti-Semitism burned more furiously than in France:

Lyon, a car was rammed into a synagogue and set

on fire. In Montpellier, the Jewish religious center

was firebombed; so were synagogues in Strasbourg and

Marseilles; so was a Jewish school in Creteil - all recently.

A Jewish sports club in Toulouse was attacked with

Molotov cocktails, and on the statue of Alfred

Dreyfus in Paris, the words "Dirty Jew" were

painted. In Bondy, 15 men beat up members of a

Jewish football team with sticks and metal bars. The

bus that takes Jewish children to school in

Aubervilliers has been attacked three times in the last 14 months.

According to the Police, metropolitan Paris has seen

10 to 12 anti-Jewish incidents PER DAY in the past

30 days. Walls in Jewish neighborhoods have been

defaced with slogans proclaiming "Jews to the gas

chambers" and "Death to the Jews."

A gunman opened fire on a Kosher butcher's shop

(and, of course, the butcher) in Toulouse , France;

a Jewish couple in their 20s were beaten up by five

men in Villeurbanne , France . The woman was

pregnant; a Jewish school was broken into and

vandalized in Sarcelles , France . This was just in

the past week.

So I call on you, whether you are a fellow Jew, a

friend, or merely a person with the capacity and

desire to distinguish decency from depravity, to do,

at least, these three simple things:

First, care enough to stay informed. Don't ever let

yourself become deluded into thinking that this is

no t your fight. I remind you of what Pastor

Neimoller said in World War II: "First they came for

the Communists, and I didn't speak up, because I

wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and

I didn't speak up, because I wasn't a Jew. Then they

came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up,

because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me,

and by that time there was no one left to speak up

for me".

Second, boycott France and French products. Only the

Arab countries are more toxically anti-Semitic and,

unlike them, France exports more than just oil and

hatred. So boycott their wines and their perfumes.

Boycott their clothes and their foodstuffs. Boycott

their movies. Definitely boycott their shores. If

we are resolved we can exert amazing pressure and,

whatever else we may know about the French, we most

certainly know that they are like a cobweb in a

hurricane in the face of well directed pressure.

Third, send this along to your family, your friends,

and your co-workers. Think of all of the people of

good conscience that you know and let them know

that you and the people that you care about need

their help. The number one best selling book in

France is "September 11: The Frightening Fraud,"

which argues that no plane ever hit the Pentagon."

What amazes me is someone who professes to be a "Christian" could listen to the taunts and insulting remarkes about the faith and not be offended. You say I get mad?? When someone mocks Jesus, the Bible and my faith, you bet I get mad. The question is, why you don't! You should think about that.

The athiests here have gone to great lengths to try of pit Christians against each other, and apparently you are buying into it totally blinded to what is going on here. Shame on you!

Ron, your arrogance is amazing. I too have been offended by some of the remarks by non-beleivers. I have stated my faith and my beleifs. I can not force someone to respect me. You might have heard the old saying that respect is earned. I truely beleive that some of the hurtfull comments about Christianity came about as a result of your posts. Some were just mean spirited and getting outwardly upset will do nothing to make that person change, it only fuels the fire. God does give us free will as you stated. It is our job to bring the message to non-believers, but no where does the bible state that we should pick fights with them if they don't agree. So maybe shame on Lisa and me, but you know what? I am still very secure in my beleifs and the way I present myself.

Saying the Bible is not a literal document is not an attack on Jesus, Christians, or the Bible. It is an opinion that many people have, including I.

Saying that there may have beem some political hanky-panky in the editing, translation or compiling of the Bible is also not an attack on Jesus, Christians, or the Bible. It is a fact. Just look at how many versions there are.

Because there you go again, proving right out of the chute that you are looking for a fight, pure and simple. Religion seems to be your topic du jour. A topic that is sure to get everyone's shorts in a wad. But just a topic. It obviously doesn't have much more meaning to you than that or you would stop being so ugly.

That is nice, and yet, when your Lord and your faith are made a mochery and a joke you are silent. There is a time to bring the message and there is a time to stand up for your faith.

I've been thinking about this, and I've realized that you hit on part of what's been rattling around my brain.

 

I have seen comments that I think are rude, and about my faith. But, and this is a biggie for me, they have been in response to things said by Ron. So, it's hard to say much about them, because I understand what motivated them.

 

I do call Ron on what he says because he's representing the God I love, and I can't stand by and allow some of his comments to stand. I don't want people to think we all are like him. So, I guess I am defending my faith after all. It just doesn't look like Ron would like it to.

You're like some of the people I've heard say that they think that South Park is dispicable. They say that children shouldn't be watching it. Well duh. It isn't for children. And it's satire. lisa25: I think you and I have been reading this from a similar viewpoint. The difference between you and me is that you are able to keep a sensible, quiet way about your posts. I have been sucked into this, outraged by the terrible picture that is being painted of Christians, not by the atheists, but by some of the other so-called Christians.

The atheists are no threat. The tell it like they think it is. We know who they are. They are being honest in their communications. They may be wrong, but they're not really a threat to Christianity or faith in God. Some of the people who claim to be Christians are the ones who are making all Christians look like nincompoops.

Believe me, I like jokes as much as the next person -- probably more. I spend a lot of my day laughing. And I understand satire. My mind is not messed up, thankyouverymuch.

Dude, are you blind? or are you simply being disingenuous? Have you not been investigating this website? In fact there are many, many Christians who post here. They include the information concerning their belief in their information blocks and these individuals are, moreover, comfortable in referring to their belief in God in their posts. They will say such things as "I am praying for you" in their posts to other members of this site. These fine and kindly individuals are never, ever attacked.

Now, the R&R zone is, as you must already know, the area of the LBT site that is open to a free for all debate. All ideas will be challenged here, even those which are politickally correct. This is the value of this site and it is, I believe, a fine thing that we have R&R available as a resource.

As for you returning to this business of the evil atheists.....I continue to believe that this is a cop out on your part. Though the early part of this thread was dominated by a debate between you and those who find it impossible to believe in a god, and certainly not yer Biblical version of God, the atheists have been sitting out for a long time now.

Your debate over the past number of pages now has been with other Christians, fine folk who do believe but who are uncomfortable with you, Cusano, and with your message. (Those devil atheists are long gone.) These are believers who see you as presenting yourself and the God which you claim to represent as being harsh, joyless, anti-intellectual, lacking in emotional generosity and, indeed, curiosity, and as being unforgiving and, well, kind of unpleasant.

I believe that these folks are kinda riled up by you because they actually are Christians and they see those of us who are not becoming further entrenched in our position for you have done nothing to attract any of us who are not believers on either an intellectual or an emotional level by your shenanigans, you know.
