Are you more hungry around time of cycle?

Recommended Posts

Hi, ladies.

I hope I'm not losing the tightness of my sleeve,so hopefully someone will answer in the affirmative. I've noticed that since yesterday, I have been unusually hungry. Not only do I want the healthy foods I now eat, but I'm craving carbs.

I'm 9 weeks out and usually I don't feel hungry between meals, but today I am just famished. Just got back from the store where I picked up a pickle, some popcorn, cake and ice cream. I'm about to cry, because I can't believe I have folded this early in the game. However, my body seems to be CRYING for junk all of a sudden.

I start my cycle in a few days and I'm wondering if this could be the cause of my extreme hunger and cravings. Please let me know if you have experienced the same, and how you have handled it.

Sisterly,

Lovely

I am 3 months out and the monthly cravings hit me like a bear! Luckily when I do fall off the wagon it only takes a couple bites and I am finished ( for at least an hour or two) but this is where you have to learn to deal with head hunger stuff. So far I have not mastered this yet but am making progress.

Hang in there and do your best to make better choices, but do not berate yourself if you do occasionally fall.

Yes I get more hungry. On the plus side after a couple days off increased calories during my Tom I drop a few pounds almost immediately.

I also suffer from this the week before my period, but I always lose 2-3 lbs while on it:-)

I never get hungry before my period, but during ovulation. Crazy, right?

I crave junk but try to make small better choices. Compared to eating a quart of ice cream preop, I now have a small spoonful and that's that.

I don't deprive, I'm all about Portion Control :)

And I agree, I just magically dropped 4 pounds.

Being a woman has it's perks ;) lol

I have to agree with the others regarding the sudden drop in weight that comes along with it. I always dread weighing in right after I have indulged my hormonal cravings and am stunned each time it resulted in a 3-4 pound loss. Weird right? But I still wouldn't recommend cheating all month long expecting to drop weight like that all the time. :)

I am more hungry and want to eat everything in sight. In addition I can eat more food but can only barely tolerate Water. It is so strange but thankfully like others, the weight gain is quickly lost afterwards.

Yup! And....I can eat more too....don't let it bother you to much, I usually would pack on a couple of pounds over a few days...(water weight) ....then after my period was done I would lose all of that, and then some more. That was during the losing phase. U am in maintenance now, and I still do the same thing, except without the extra loss at the end. I have just learned to be a little bloated for a few days. ;) good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
