Recommended Posts

Today for Breakfast I had 1 scrambled egg. Ate most of it went down well. Mushed it well. lunch 2 -3 ounces egg drop Soup . 1/2 hr later had the tiniest maybe 2 ounces of chicken and chewed really well. No problems. snack 1 slimfast and a sugar free icepop . dinner I had 2 ounces of mashed potatoes, with tiny pieces of chicken 1 ounce with a little gravy . Mushed it all up and went down ok. Today was like the day where it was easy to drink. I hope i'm not pushing it but its all on my list of mushy . In the hosp they gave us soup and then tuna . It was yummy !

I'm 5 days out. My dr believes that have food keeps everything open and trys to get people to eat in the hosp some Soup and tuna. most other drs believe liquid is best because it gives all swelling time to heal. I guess I see both points of view. Today I was able to drink/ eat with no problems :) Hope your doing well!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
