Re: Worried over Excess Skin.....

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I have an "Apron" that would make a cook proud. And I know I'll need surgery to have it removed.

CandyB...my insurance co has already told me that they will pay for it after I have been with the program for a year and the Dr request it for medical purposes. Hope my employer doesn't chage Insurance Company before the year is up LOL.

Brighht you got my blood pressure up there talking like that But if we go with Donali's idea of a collage I'd be willing to enter mine in there too. Just so no one says were sexist.

Well good luck all on this journey.

Greg

Lisa G -

No apron pictures... I think Greg was hoping he could lure us into posting saggy boob pictures... lol

Remember those games where baby pictures would be displayed of people you knew, and you had to guess who was who? We could have that same kind of game, only with anonymous saggy boobs... lol

:)

Hi everyone,

this is an interesting topic. I have those HUGE flabby arms, you know, the type that hangs over your elbow even before weightloss. In my search for a solution I found a personal webpage where building muscle is used instead of cutting off skin. Its very inspiring and she is very obliging if you want to email her.

That's a very impressive website there. I wished I had the determination to tackle something like she has.

Been There Done That... I Had Lost 100 Lbs On My Own,(had Gained It Back, That's Why I Chose The Band) Had The Arms That I Could Donate Skin To The Needy.... I Had, I Think Called Bracheoplasty... Arm Skin Removed Between Elbow And Armpit... Looks Okay, But There Is A Big Scar. And A Section That Looks Not So Great... So It Is A Trade Off, But I Still Would Have Done It.... When I Lift My Arms Over My Head, I Sometimes Notice People Looking.... I Also Don't Go Without Sleeves That Much, Still Don'tt Feel That Comfortable.... Ro

If you poured my skin into my palm, it would slip through my fingers like pancake batter. If I had the money, I'd have a tummy/arm/thigh tuck right this minute, regardless how far I am from goal. I have pictures of me at 7 years old with my hanging pooch. I'm over it. Cut it off!

P.S. I wear tank tops and spaghetti straps all the time. I figure the sooner the world gets used to seeing real women and real flesh, the sooner they'll stop looking at us like we're freaks. One time a car full of guys started teasing me about being fat, so I flirted with them. I told them they wanted me, otherwise they wouldn't be checking out my fabulous body. The more they gagged, the heavier I laid it on them. I told them they couldn't handle me or I'd hurt their little bitty pee-pees. It was quite fun. No guy likes to think his itty bitty pee-pee is inadequate. It's all about attitude, and I have every single right to enjoy my life to the fullest, which means not having to drape curtains over me every time I leave my house. Touche'

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
