Going to the Movies was hard...

Recommended Posts

I am now 10 days post op and my family decided to take me to see a movie, to get me out of the house. I went to the movie prepared (still on all liquids) I had to sneak in some chicken broth, and Water, couple other things. But when I smelled that popcorn omg!!! it was like I felt I wasn't having the full movie experience without it. It's crazy ... The movie was good though ....

I have been twice and yes it is very hard! The smell is just about overwhelming! I was good and didn't eat it but I think it will be one of those hard ones not matter how many times you go.

I've gone 3 times in the last 7 weeks (preop diet and postop). It is really hard. The thing that I've found works for me is that I bring a bottle of Water and one of the crystal light add ins. It's pretty much the only time I have them, so it feels like a treat. I also remind myself that if my 10 year old can't eat popcorn, I can't either. She has severe Crohn's Disease and popcorn is really bad for her.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
