Going to the Movies was hard...

I am now 10 days post op and my family decided to take me to see a movie, to get me out of the house. I went to the movie prepared (still on all liquids) I had to sneak in some chicken broth, and water, couple other things. But when I smelled that popcorn omg!!! it was like I felt I wasn't having the full movie experience without it. It's crazy ... The movie was good though ....

Thank you! It was really hard to resist that popcorn smell is everywhere in the theater ... I had no idea the role food had played in my life..

I've gone 3 times in the last 7 weeks (preop diet and postop). It is really hard. The thing that I've found works for me is that I bring a bottle of water and one of the crystal light add ins. It's pretty much the only time I have them, so it feels like a treat. I also remind myself that if my 10 year old can't eat popcorn, I can't either. She has severe Crohn's Disease and popcorn is really bad for her.
