  1. God I hope so. This eating like a bird sucks.
  2. Sounds like pancreatitus to me. I had it and had to go to the ER. This was before my surgery tho. I doubt this far out its surgery related. Mine was triggered by a hamburger. Fatty, greasy foods do it. Pain is right where you stated and sometimes can radiate to back. Its a a nagging pain, not SHARP but its definitely there and you can feel it move around a little. Gullstones are possible too
  3. I too am in the same boat. No problems whatsoever. No pain after surgery, no nausea, no problems with food. Matter of fact, Im not doing anything I am supposed to be. No Vitamins, not enough Protein, not enough Water, not exercising. 20 days after my surgery, I became a foster parent to 3 children...8,5 and 10 mo. And my life got turned upside down. Im single and trying to take care of them and getting a routine down has consumed all my time. Im so thankful that my surgery happened when it did. I am just now starting to plan and get my self in check with everything I am supposed to be doing. I feel GREAT, ive lost 69 pounds since July 19 and loving the new me. Im actually glad that I havent been working out. I cant imagine how much I woulda lost if I had been and have all that excess skin. I only have a little bit of hair loss so I like you, feel bad because I know Im not trying and those that are.....well.......are having some rough times.
  4. Offically hit ONEDERLAND WOOOT WOOT

  5. Down 32 pounds since surgery sleeved the 17th. Was stalled for a week but dropped a pound today
  6. My surgeon wants everyone to take 30 days off. I could have easily went back after a few days but to be honest, the learning of what foods to eat, what to make, what works and what doesnt is essential. I have a comfy computer job (Robotic Engineer) for Toyota and felt I needed to take the full amount. However everyones insurance isnt the same. I used short term disability. Some might not have that option.
  7. I had a hiatal hernia repaird too and didnt have any of those symptoms. Was hard to swallow due to it for a day or so but thats it

    Soda

I have tried soda and had absolutely no problems at all. Of course you cant drink much of it but for me theres no pain, no bloating ect like some say. It does NOT stretch the sleeve like some might suggest. Just do it in moderation
  10. Mine was 45 minutes (plus repairing a hiatal hernia) 45 min in recovery and up and walking 2 hrs after that

Thinking of moving to pureed foods

I too am struggling with this however, Im supposed to advance at day 14. Im at 10 right now and am about to do it. I have no pain, dont really feel restrictions yet and getting all my protein ect. I can even guzzle a few times of water and absolutely no problem.

thoughts on pain and pain management

I just had surgery last week and on the way home from the hospital, picked up the meds, and havent needed to use them at all. Not once!! SImply was no pain once I left. Hell I never even had any soreness at any of the incisions. CRAZY!! Everyones body is different

    Any regrets?

I have no regrets persa the only one I might have is that I had to resort to the sleeve to lose the weight in the first place!! Lost 20 pounds already since 5 day preop and my surgery. Im a week out. No way am I going to regret it!!!

    Is this much pain normal?

Ya everyones recovery is way different. For me I was discharged with a script for pain meds and nausea, picked them up, and never once used them. My incisions havent hurt at all (they used the new fancy glue to put me back together). The only real pain I have had was a little discomfort from my hiatal hernia they repaired. Right now, Im a week out and really trying to figure out why they say for me to take a month off work. I was ready after I got sent home from hospital. I havent had any problems with food or Water or anything going down. Matter of fact, I hope they tell me that I can move to next stage today at appt. Take your meds and walk walk walk. It might hurt but it will work it out
