Liquids!

My two week liquid diet starts tomorrow! I'm so excited but nervous too. I know I can do this but a little support sure wouldn't hurt. Also, what did everyone pack in their hospital bag? I don't want to forget anything!!!

I just took myself in, my Cpap machine for apnea,(no longer needed), and my blood pressure meds,(also no longer needed). We only lived 4 blocks from the hospital so wife would go get anything I needed.

phone, tablet, chargers, chapstick and come in baggy clothing........wont need anything else really. Soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste comb, all provided at mine. I just brought myself and my electronics ;)

I agree completely with Lurpa. Less is better.

I remember seeing on the forum somewhere that someone added mouthwash to the list of things to bring to the hospital cause your mouth is going to be extremely dry and you won't have anything by mouth for awhile.

I've scoured the suggestions list and found these additions to above items: GasX strips for post-op gas pains, ear plugs (loud hospital), small pillow, warm socks, and a heating pad. Oh and someone mentioned sugar-free cough drops and gum for the dry mouth/sore throat after surgery. Good luck!

They provided me with a mouth moisturizer for that and also a mouthwash swab

You can also get lemon swabs to help with dry mouth

I brought my own toothbrush, as the cheesy one they provide is for the birds. I brought my phone charger, phone, clothing, toothbrush, hairbrush and clips, and my own pillow. hate hospital pillows...

Good luck!
