I honestly think nerves will be a huge factor.

I don't think you'll be hungry.

Hang in there.

Does anyone know of a good Protein Powder that you can add to just Water to drink? I am having surgery in MX and only bringing a carry on so I can't take liquids. I know that they provide broth and sf popsicles but I am thinking I should have something with Protein for those first couple of days afterwards before I get home. Thanks

Takinski,

Go to the carbesccentials web site and check out the ,earl replacement smoothies and nutritional drinks. They have several flavor and they are my favorite. But only 15 grams protien. But come I'm bottles you can fill, or packets.

That makes me feel terrible also. I had my lap band removed 2 weeks ago. My surgery was scheduled for 3:30pm! Needless to say, I felt like I was in the desert :(

I'm having surgery Sept. 9 and starting my two week liquid diet today! I did have my food funeral this weekend and it wasn't as wonderful as I wanted it to be! I hope I do good these next two weeks, they will be the longest!

Bleh! Meh!

Day 8 of my 3 week preop liquid diet.. Its odd..I have lost all desire to really drink my shakes or do anything else...in fact even wuen i look at real food..it doesnt bother me right now...its soo odd. In fact i end up having one Protein Shake for Breakfast and end up forgetting to have another shake until dinner...ive been going 7 hours without drinking my shakes....i just dont feel hungry anymore...i feel an emptiness but not hunger..

Guess my body loves low carb. The funny thing is that i havent stepped on a scale for an entire week. Usually i weigh myself everyday but right now.. i have no desire to weigh myself..perhaps its because it doesnt matter wuat the scale says..i still have to be on this diet.

hi Montereygrl,

is it only the smoothie Meal Replacement drinks at carb essentials that you like? Or would you recommend other nutrition drinks there too? THANKS! Diana49

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
