30 day, 100% RAW FOOD challenge

Recommended Posts

So this won't happen with everybody but it happened with us. Two months of green smoothies, 1lb of raw veg daily, 1lb of cooked veg, 2-3 fruits, handful of nuts, 1c of beams. (Fuhrman diet?) don't even remember. No cheating.

LOTS of food prep! All natural. Most raw. LOTS and LOTS of food prep, Couldn't eat out. Felt great. Had more energy. Went it to say nani-nani boo boo to doc who swore the only way to get healthy was to eat meat. Just to show her a diff way to get healthy.

Net result for both my husband and me? TWENTY point increase in blood sugar.

So yeah, be careful. If you are insulin resistant or carb sensitive, or prone to diabetes, not do much with the healthy sounding smoothies.< /p>

I am hearing most soy (tofu) is processed from GMO soy Beans which is causing many serious health problems in people. I advise to stay away from anything processed and in a package :-)

I only shop in the produce section in the grocery store. Very easy and cheap and very healthy.

It's easy to find non-GMO tofu--you can get it at pretty much any grocery store. Asian markets also sell homemade tofu or you can make it yourself.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
