Three Year Update

Recommended Posts

I find your post VERY encouraging, so thank you for sharing your struggles! As for the last 10-15 pounds of baby weight, I think you are doing a GREAT job being so close to your goal when she is only 4 months old. remember quality sleep is a factor in your ability to lose weight and the chances are you're not sleeping as well as you did before. You're really doing great.

So, first off...

YOU.

LOOK.

AMAZEBALLS!!!!!

Seriously, so beautiful! Congrats on 3 years post-op!

Also, I am so, so glad to see someone sharing their story about working on your own personal causes for overeating and emphasizing how important it is to deal with the psychological component of it. I realized recently that aside from my weight (or perhaps tangled up in it), I have many, many self-confidence and men issues that must be addressed if this surgery is going to be a true success. I have started therapy and am on my way to gaining understanding of myself while, come August 19th, losing the weight! Thanks again for sharing your story, your lovely photos, and for being so honest. <3

You once again, very eloquently, put to post what I'm sure so many of us feel about ourselves and our experiences. Thank you so much for sharing. It does keep things in persepective and remind us all that its a journey, and a lifelong commitment. I know you don't look for the accolades, but I'm gonna! Thank you, you've become a voice of reason, guidance and comfort to the lot of us that came after.

Congratulations on a happy, healthy you!

You look stunning and your baby girl is beautiful! Everything you said is SO true, although I'm far from goal. This has been far more of a psychological process than I had anticipated.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
