I actually do feel hungry! It seems like most here don't ever feel hungry, and even get a sick feeling after eating. I ate my 4 oz of pureed chicken and I was just barely in the comfortable zone lol I could have probably had something else (but I didn't).

Anyone else go through this too?

I was starving from the second day after surgery. I am two weeks out and am adjusting but I still get very hungry. I do not have nausea after drinking or eating. I am just ready for real food....at least a taste.

Are you taking your PPI in the morning? That had made a dramatic difference for me.

I thought that I was feeling hunger several days after surgery. In hind sight, I think it was just new, rumbley feelings I was having. Plus, I was so sick of sweet things.....jello, pudding, pro shakes. All put together, it felt like hunger. Try not stress out. You'll adjust to the new feelings, and they will subside. I'm eight months out and never hungry.

At least not physically. I get mental hunger....which is what got me here in the first place. And I also have times when I realize I need to eat. My body needs it, but I'm not hungry.

I am 9 days out and I'm still very confused is it hunger, pain, or I over ate not sure how to tell the difference its just uncomfortable walking helps me it seams to get things moving. If that helps at all so looking forward to actually hitting something....

If I'm awake...I'm hungry. I'm 13 days out, I crave the weirdest things. cheese mostly. I've grown tired of sugary "foods"...I want salty, and I want substance. It took a while to figure out all these new gut gurgles, but I'm pretty sure I've got it. I'm just anxious to get out of this phase, my patience has grown thin over this 7 month journey, but the results are well worth it!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
