Thanks for the quick replies. I live in south Florida , I'm a nurse and very excited and nervous about all of this . So glad I found this app because just the little bit I have seen so far has eased my mind. Still trying to figure it all out though .

Welcome. I'm5 days post op and feeling just fine. Listen to all these tips on this website--they do help. Walk as much as you can at the hospital--the IV is there for you to get fluids because just sipping while in the hospital is uncomfortable--not painful..just harder than before. You will feel better coming home because you are not getting awaken during the night at the hospital. When you begin sipping your Water do it slowly, I used to be able to drink a big glass of water all the time trying to lose weight. Now, take sips--you don't want to hurt your new stomach. Good luck and don't be nervous everything will be fine.

I'm new to this group as well and my surgery date is May 29th. I don't know how to use this app so any help would be great.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
