Update:

Surgery -4/10

SW - 217

CW - 165

52 pounds

Congrats Everyone! Let's keep going! :)

Surgery April 22

Starting weight 291

Today I'm at 209

82lbs gone. Feeling great. Best decision I made was to have this surgery.

Great Job everyone.

Update; surgery 4/23/13:

HW: 313

SW: 273

CW: 207

Down 106 pounds (including 66 since surgery)!

HW: 214

SW:201

CW:149

Still pushing on toward my goal. Loosing five pounds or less a month really blows, but at this point I have come way to far to quit now.

Sleeved 4/16

Started @ 278

Currently @ 203

I'm on the verge of comfortably fitting into a size 16 (not even a 16W). It's a very strange thing to see as I can't remember the last time I wore some of these pants. That means shopping soon!

No big problems yet. Just have days where I get super dizzy when I stand up. Started about 2 weeks ago.

I was sleeved on April 29, down 79 pounds since surgery and right now a half pound from onederland!

Surgery date: 4/23/13

HW: 237 lbs

SW: 227 lbs

CW: 175 lbs

50 lbs to go until I reach my goal. Working with a personal trainer and I started running, because I've been losing slow and steady, while working out, I have very little excess skin. Hope all of my hard work pays off when I hit goal. I'm currently wearing size 14 pants and M/L tops. My hair loss seems to have subsided. It was scary at first, but I think I was the only one who noticed. Thankfully, I have a lot of hair! Feeling great, motivated to get to goal!

The members of this forum have been extremely inspiring, thanks to all/keep up the hard work! I look forward to hearing about your progress :)

Everyone has done wonderful so inspiring!

April 4 weight 230.

Current weight 161

Size 18 and 2X

Size 10 and M.

Before always stressed about my weight.

Now...

Love my sleeve and love shopping.

Stick to the goal it's so worth it.

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm a slow loser, but at least I am losing. Highest weight 303, today I'm 232. Wearing clothes I thought I'd never be able to fit in. YAY!!!

5 months out!

HW: 313

SW: 273

CW: 203

Woot woot!!!!!!!!

Sleeved April 29

Highest Weight: 297

Surgery date weight: 279

Current weight: 193

Weight lost post surgery: 86 pounds

Total pounds lost 104 pounds

4/29 SW: 266, CW: 211, so down 55 pounds after five months.

Looking at all these huge losses makes me want to give up (but I can't because it's physically impossible due to the sleeve). I wouldn't mind being a slow loser if it was steady, even half a pound a week, but instead I lose in a stairstep pattern, so nothing for two or three weeks, then a couple pounds, then nothing for some more weeks, then five pounds, etc.

I just want to lose ten more pounds by my six month follow-up with the surgeon's office so it's not a failure but at this point I don't know what to do. Too many calories (800 on non-workout days but on days I work out more like 1000)? Should I stop working out five days a week so I can eat less? Or am I not eating enough calories? Carbs are under 20 four days a week, no more than 50 the other three days a week, should I eliminate the higher days? My only hope is eating more protein, since I average 55 grams now and perhaps if I get that average up to 70 it'll help. But I'm not sure what else to tweak.

Right with ya. Surgery on April 29th. Sw 258 CW 197 That's 61 lb in five months. In a way I'm happy, but I would like to have lost a little more. I think my surgeon was a little disappointed with my loss. I go through periods where I eat a little more (never more than 1200 calories) and definately do the stair step thing too. I just sat at 202 for almost 4 weeks and overnight dropped to 197. The past couple of weeks I'm doing good to get in 800 cals a day. Either way it doesn't seem to make a difference with my loss. I recently stopped weight training and only do cardio just so I'm not so tired all the time. Yes I would like it to move a little faster but as long as the # keep going down and not up I'm happy. I will never stop trying though, the sleeve has made my efforts easier.
