  8. Best: my daughter told me she can grasp her wrists behind my back while hugging me. Apparently, she couldn't even touch her hands before! Worst: the extra skin comment...UGH. What the heck do you care what I do with my extra skin?!?!? Funniest: an elderly lady that comes into work occasionally didn't recognize me at all until I spoke and then she GUSHED for 45 minutes over how fabulous I look now and proceeded to tell me that I need to buy some nighties so my hubby will stay interested in me. Uh, what?
  9. You're off to a good start! Welcome to Sleeverland!
  10. Wonton soup broth was divine right after surgery! And I'm now a "smeller." If I smell something I know won't agree with me (i.e. donuts, pastries, breads), it satisfies my craving. Strange, but true!

  16. It's tough no matter how prepared you are, but one day at a time!
  17. My process went faster than normal. I attended orientation March 1 and had surgery April 23. During those few weeks, I squeezed in the mental health appointments (2), NUT appointment, and pre-op diet. It helped that I was already at "goal weight" when I met with the surgeon! I used that info to get in earlier to see MH and NUT. They all worked to get me in FAST!
  18. Welcome! This is a great source of information. I had surgery 6 weeks ago and I'm down 28 pounds. Feels great!
  19. You are so inspiring!!! Congrats!!!
