Hang in there, I stalled at 2 weeks post op for about 2 weeks, but I still lost inches, so take measurements..I finally broke my stall and have lost 5 pounds in the last week..It will happen, I didn't do anything different just kept doing what I was doing...good luck

There are tons of theories on this subject all around this site. First, don't stress, we all stall.

First step, avoid the scale for awhile.

Second, a lot of people will increase their calorie intake for a few days then return to the previous diet.

Your body has set weight points where its comfortable at, once it hits a number and doesn't move your body gets stubborn and wants to stay there. What I do, personally, is switch to 2 shakes, 2 small healthy Snacks, and a very light meal once a day. I do this for a week. And if my fibro allows me, I'll do a little more cardio that week. Not much, maybe 5-10 more minutes to up my metabolism. And avoid that demon scale! I find the best results when I avoid the scale for a week or two then weigh and go for there. Just try and avoid upping your carbs, then you get cravings and have to go through the lovely carb withdrawal again :P

Don't fret, you're not alone. It'll work itself out :) just be patient.

GREAT advice here! The only thing I would add is to say try changing whatever you're doing for exercise. If you're a treadmill person, try the elliptical or the stairclimber if you can handle it until your stall breaks.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
