Do You Drink Coffee, How Much Weight Have You Lost?

Recommended Posts

I drink coffee... I drink it every day... probably 2-3 cups... That being said I also drink ALOT of Water as well so I don’t really worry about the argument between whether coffee counts as a liquid or not... I am drinking enough water to get my daily intake plus whatever I could lose in coffee and probably a little more...

I don’t worry about the added calories too much bc I don’t use sugar and I use only about 1-2 tbsp of skim milk in it...

As to this coffee debate people have I say to each his own... There will never be a definitive answer on the coffee good or coffee bad debate!

I'm 9 weeks out, and drink regular coffee every day. I didn't have any the first 6 weeks after surgery, and I sure missed it. I'm 41 lbs down.

I have had an iced vanilla latte (NOT sugar free) everyday for the last 20 months! I waited until I was healed (like a month to try my first one) I made my weight loss goal and have been maintaining for more than a year.

You are a WLS unicorn then.

I started drinking regular coffee one week after my surgery. Only one cup. I've given everything else up so I feel it couldn't hurt. Makes me feel normal. I'm 4 weeks post-op.

There are several brands of Protein Powder out there that make coffee or espresso powders, Click and Chike are two that come to mind. Click has about 12-15 g of Protein per serving and is the equivalent of 2 shots of espresso! When I combine that with a chocolate protein powder and some SF Torani Syrup, put it all in a clear plastic cold beverage cup from Starbucks with a lot of ice, I am smug in the deliciousness of something that is good for me and like 1000 calories less than what others are sucking down from 'bux. ^_^

Why? Starbucks tall vanilla latte made with skim milk w regular sugar has 150cals I drink

them on occasion. My everyday coffee is 90 cals I just make sure to track it all on MFP and stay within my limit. I can't do sugar free the chemicals in artificial sweeteners kill my throat. That being said I don't do much other sweet stuff.

They gave me a cup in the hospital, after surgery. I didn't drink it but did ask why, my dr was very lenient no restrictions.

I drink it maybe once a week for bathroom relief (caffinated and with creamer). Lol, it is a little miracle.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
