What the expected weight loss?

Recommended Posts

I have loss after surgery a total of 29 pounds in 6 1/2 weeks. But this week , week 7 I'm not sure I'm going to lose. Freaking out!!! Eating more soild food but only about 700 calories a day. How much weight can you lose in a year ? What happens a if you stop? I don't drink before after it during a meal. But I only think I wait 1 minute maybe between bites and I'm hooked on auger free Popsicles!! Help!!!

Don't worry. We all do this. Just increased my calories last week from about 500 to 700. scale did not move but this week already moving. Just give time to adjust. There is no average. We are all different ;)

You have lost an average of 4 to 5 pounds a week. That is awesome! I am at the same point -- 45 days out -- and I have lost 24 pounds since surgery. That has not been consistent loss. I lost 18 pounds the first 15 days and then a long stall. Most people I have talked to said they lost in lurches after the first week or two. My average is 3.5 pounds a week. If I continue with that, I could lose 90 pounds in six months. If I don't, I am happy with whatever I lose.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
