Tomorrow is the day! GIVE ME TIPS!

Recommended Posts

So I will be sleeved tomorrow morning at 8:45. I'm incredibly nervous, surgery is always a bit scary. I just had an emergency c-section where the anesthesiologist really messed up, so I'm a little wary. Can any one give me tips or tricks on how to make these next few days bearable. Just reassure me im doing the right thing. See you on the skinny side!

You are going to be fine. Do what they tell you!!! #1=WALK! It will make recovery much easier and quicker. Your c section was much harder than this. I walked and was just fine. Did not need anything for pain after a couple days. Down 35 lbs so far & loving it. Would never be able to do it on my own. I certainly have tried enough times. Good luck. Skinny is waitin 4 u.

When you wake up,they will get you up and walking as soon as possible. Ask for Water or ice chips.and drink or suck as much as you can. Other than,,that, qhen you get home, dont over do it,if you have help at home, use them to take care of everything else, you concentrate on you

follow all instructions they give you.. walk walk walk.. sip sip sip.. do not gulp. Im post op 9weeks.. piece of cake.. other than some pain a few days down the road.. but get the pain meds they offer.. it will help.. and I dont like pain meds.. I dont take anything.. but this time I was glad I did.. helped me get comfy to sleep.. stick to the diet they provide you with.. I was up and in the chair 15 min after getting to my room..and walking 30 min later in the hall.. had to get moving... wanted to get out of there and start my journey..and oh by the way.. Im 52.6 lbs down already. :)) welcome to our journey.. you will be great.. scary at first.. yes.. but it will be great.. best of luck

Post op pain is well managed. Within 30 min of waking up my pain was under control. When they wheeled me in my room I got up and used the bathroom, no problem at all. WALK. It relieves the gas which is the most cause of discomfort. If you do not get up, you will need more pain meds and be more uncomfortable. Wear a comfy pair of sweats to the hospital if you have them. Draw string waist pjs and sweats work great post up. Put the pj bottoms under my gown, used my wrap robe, slip on slippers on I was off down the halls. Wore the same draw string (extra big) sweats to and from the hospital. No problem.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
